Today in class I did a Lucid Chart of STEAM, it was very hard to fill in the things in the blocks it took me long.

Favorite Animal

                           PUPPIES

 Puppies are the cutest animals I have seen.  They are furry and soft. Puppies are asleep more than they are awake everyday. They are asleep for, 12-14 hours everyday. They have to sleep more then wake up one day it would be 15 they 15 hours or 20 hours to sleep. They are blind and deaf when they are born but over the months they would see and hear things. They are small and tiny when there little and cute. Puppies are also a popular animal. Puppies follow their owner and mum over the times because they are scared. Puppies are my favorite .

Apollo 11 was a mission when the spaceship went on the moon. When you’re in space it is 110 kilometers if you go on the moon. On 1969 July 16 Neil Armstrong, Micheal Collins and Buzz Aldrin went to space. When Micheal Collins was in space he landed on the moon but could not get out of the rocket. 19 minutes after Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon.Akifa

Space Art

Today in class we did a blog of us doing our space art. First we had to do the craters and shade them with sketching pencil. Next we did the hot and cold colours. After we had to cut out circles and color them with half cold half hot. Later we had to get a black paper and spit some white paint out. Finally we glued everything on the black paper and Mrs. Kirkpatrick stabled our name on.

Matariki

                                     

                                                      

On a very special morning my class and I had two sausages each. After we went to a special assembly because of Matariki. First we listened to the junior kapa haka they were performing a dance. Next it was the senior kapa haka turns and they were doing a really nice dance for Matariki. After it was the ukulele. They were doing some drumming and dancing. Later it was the Pacific group they were performing a dance and they had  nice clothes on them I really liked from their outfit the flower crown. Later we watched a video of the 7 stars, Uranagi, Tupa a Nuku, Waiti, Waita and Tupa a Rangi and we watched the movie because we really needed needed to learn the stories of the 7 stars and my favorite star was the twins waita an waiti because I really like twins. Finally we went back to class and we packed our bags and we did some things on our chrome book.  
  

Space Food

Today in class I did a space food learning centre activity. When I did it I had to do a google drawing and make pictures of what you eat in space.

Read Theory- July

Today in class we did Read Theory. At the start of the year I was level 1. Now I am level 4, but my best result was level 6. I need to take care with my answers so I can stay at level 6.

Trial and Error

Today in class I did a math sheet it is called What's my number? We had to guess a number and add 8 on until we got the same number in each of the boxes but the correct one was 4x tables.Then we did it some more we got 3 wrong boxes that did not make the same number.

Zoo Recount

Eek! I couldn’t stand still because my class was going to the zoo. We went to the zoo because the Warehouse sponsored us and Ritchies gave us the buses for free. I couldn’t wait to look at all the animals because I don’t get to go to the zoo often. 

I was in Ms Kirkpatrick’s group with Fotu, Lukas, Mahdi, Xavier and Fala. First we saw red pandas. Then my group and I looked at the otters. When we saw them some of us said “Cute!!”. After that we went to the Austraila section and we looked at the tazmanian devils we saw a baby tasmanian devil. Then we went to the kiwi house. When we saw them there was only two kiwis in the dark house. Then we went to see the monkeys and the monkeys were sitting on house and they were eating food.

Next we went to meet up with Hohepa who was going to show us around the Africa section. First he showed us the baboons and then the cheetah.
The cheetah’s live up to 12 years old.  When we went to see the elephant we saw the zoo keeper.
Then he opened the elephant’s mouth and we saw big metal teeth. We looked at the flamingos,
they had really straight and skinny legs. We said goodbye to Hohepa and went to look around
with our groups.

Then we went to the Giraffe and Zebras and we went up to the bars and we looked closer.
We could see them eating hay. When we saw the meerkats we crawled into
the tunnel and we could see them closer. Finally Ms Kirkpatrick said we can go to
the kid zone so we could play. I liked it when we got the foam bricks and made a cave to sit in.

Even though we are studying space, we went to the zoo because we
got sponsored. I don’t get to go to the zoo often so I really liked when we ate next to the

elephant. After the zoo trip I was really tired, we had looked at so many animals.

Onomatopoeia

Today I did a sentence showing onomatopoeia on a goggle draw and my word was hiss.
