Ryhmes

Rhymes
LI – rhyming words, alliteration, simile

Let’s start with jelly.
It’s a wobbly word
that rhymes with belly
and smelly, of course,
and my old Aunt Nellie,
who’s also wobbly
and works in a deli
when she’s not at home
in front of the telly
being wobbly and eating jelly
and thinking of her brother Kelly,
who ran away with a girl named Shelly,
who worked - small world -
in the very same deli
as wobbly, telly-loving
old Aunt Nellie.

Rhymes run around
as light as a feather.
Think of a few
and put them together.

Read the poem

List the words that rhyme with jelly - telly - nellie - kelly -  deli - belly - smelly

Copy the line that have alliteration - It’s a wobbly word

Identify the simile - as light as a feather.

List other things that are light like a feather
Leaves
Grass
Water
Paper

Today I did a poem called Rhymes, this had to have simile, rhymes and alliteration.
