Art - Making house using shapes


Today I finished making the house using shapes, I made big squares for the grass and sky and and trapezoid for the house.

LI - Rippa Rugby

This week we did rippa rugby, First we walked to the other side of  the school and there was another school there. There was some teacher that helped us and we have 2 teachers each. 

The year five and year six student were not together, they had a different teacher each. Then we started to play we first played catch with the rugby ball we had to run and catch it to the player next to you.

Later we played some other games and then it was time to go, we all lined up and got a paper to register for rippa rugby, I felt sweaty after rippa rugby.




Positive Relationships

LI - Positive Communication

Today we learned about Positive Communication, in Kiwi Can we first started with the energizer. We were in teams I was in team S and the other team was team G.

 We had to turn the cones upside down for team S and for team G we had to turn them up.

After the energizer we talked about postitive communication and how we can have it, we also heard a story of Jerry when he was bullied.

I felt tierd after the game because we versed in two players and I was exhausted

Keyword

This week in reading we learnt about keywords. 

First we worked on understanding what a keyword was and was not. 

Then I made a picture using diffrent text colors, shapes, and pictures.

I look forword to using this strategy while reading.

The good the Bad and the Ugly Print

This Week we did the Print Design Rules, The rules we made were - for composition have a balance of pictures and use images that relate to the text - for Lay out Haves margins and align text and images - for color dont use clashing colours and use contrasting background and foreground colours - for text keep consisting fonts and sizes and make sure the text is legible.

Composition:
      •  Have A balance of pictures and sentences

      • Use Images that relate to the text

    • Layout: Use Image that relate to the text

      •  Put text in the right place

      •  Put picture in right place

    • Colour: 

      • Dont use Clashing colours

      •  Use contrasting background and foreground colours

Postive relationships

LI - to make postitive relationships.

We learned about postive relationships

We played switch place for the energizer

We talked about fairness and fairplay

We played pizza tag to encourage fairness and fair play.

I was happy that everyone in the game was playing fairly.

Treaty of Waitangi




Ti Tiriti o te Waitangi

This week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi by accessing different text types and media.

In groups we needed to firstly access the information and gather the main ideas of Who, What, Where, Why and When. We had journal stories, website, youtube videos and more.

We then had to summarise the information in to sentences using key words. Even though we all picked out different words, the main idea of the treaty are the 3 Ps.

The 3 Ps are Protection, Partnership and Participation. This is what the treaty set out to achieve.

We then had to evaluate our new learnings and think of questions that we want to find more information on.

Maritime Mueseum

LI - to study the history of nz maritime explorers

Yesterday my class and I went to the maritime museum, I saw lots of boats and kayak.

we also saw the maori fish hook and a video.

my favorite part was when the cannoon shot in the water and came out with water.

I felt knowledgeable after this trip.

Crazy cricket choas

LI - To develop fundamental movements in cricket 
Today we did our first session for cricket with brian from HPCC.

 I did a session on throwing a ball at a set of stumps.

 we also did an ativity where we had to hit 2 ball off the 2 cone as as we could.

 Lastly we were in a circal and brian was holding 2 ball and we had to catch it.

I was so tierd at the end from all the throwing and running, I have to work on aiming when we throw.
